#31: Let’s Talk About Addiction with Karl Shallowhorn
Welcome back to another episode of the We Live to Build podcast.
When I first started the podcast, I said I would focus on mental health as much as possible, so while today’s episode is scary for me to share my own story because of potential repercussions, I think it’s extremely important for me to do so in order to create the right environment for you to open your mind and listen carefully about how entrepreneurs who are stressed may end up forming bad habits which could become addictions, and how we can learn to handle these situations for ourselves or people we care about.
It’s very personal for me which you’ll learn about during the episode, and our guest Karl Shallowhorn is perfect for this episode because of his own experiences on both sides of addiction, first going through it himself and now helping others deal with their addictions.
Let’s give a warm welcome to Karl!
You’ll Learn About
- Sean reveals his own secret
- How to identify if an indulgence has become an addiction
- How to ask for help
- How to avoid getting addicted
- How to develop a support network
- How to talk to someone you believe may be addicted
- And more!
And remember, Entrepreneurship is a Marathon, not a Sprint, so take care of yourself every day, so that you can live and love, and have the energy and the passion to run your business, and to invest in your team, and to find a way to appreciate those moments of happiness.
