Today’s Guest

Welcome back to another episode of the We Live to Build podcast.
Product Management is something that didn’t come naturally to me, and is something I’ve been working on for the last 3 years since I started my company.
Thankfully, I’m at a point now where I recently hired a Product Manager to take over for my shortcomings in that aspect of running the company.
Going through this process made it clear to me that we all struggle to manage this part of our business, and so I decided to invite Matt Barnett, founder of Bonjoro, to talk with me about it in this episode.
I chose him because he has a background in industrial design and lots of experience managing product development for various companies, including several of his own like Bonjoro, which helps companies customize their onboarding experience for users.

Let’s give a warm welcome to Matt!
We talked about: – Why should a founder focus on their product? – Why you should start with the problem? – Why you should try to consider all possible solutions before taking action? – Why is making mistakes an acceptable and constant part of innovation and progress. – What are the 3 stages of feature conceptualization? – If a founder wants to step back, what are the first steps they should take? – What kinds of people should you hire, and is there a logical order for hiring them?
And remember, Entrepreneurship is a Marathon, not a Sprint, so take care of yourself every day, so that you can live and love, and have the energy and the passion to run your business, and to invest in your team, and to find a way to appreciate those moments of happiness.
